gluten free granola

basic, simple. why do we buy the stuff?  1 lb of gluten free oats, mixed with slivered almonds (or other low fat nut – see notes below), sunflower or pumpkin seeds, quinoa flakes.  heat in 350 oven for 10 minutes.  then add honey (1/4c to 1 c depending on how sweet you like it), and 1/4C of coconut oil. stir well and back in oven for 15 minutes.  stir really well again. now you can add fatty nut pieces like pecans or walnuts. 15 minutes later, remove from oven and add dried fruit of choice (cherries, raisons, pineapple, apricots, shredded coconut, apples, etc) plus cinnamon (ginger? other?), flaxseed and chia seed.  mix well and let dry completely.  pack well.

    We buy it, because we have (as a culture) forgotten that we can make it. 🙂 This sounds DELICIOUS though. Definitely something I should try.
