black valentine vs top crop

This year grew too different bush beans; black valentine and top crop.  The top crop was a smaller bush, and smaller bean, but turned out to be quite the producer!!  Black valentine was a taller plant with really long beans that matured quickly. a little too quickly. as soon as they got thicker than a stylus, they were tough and tasteless.  Nor did they produce as much.  Will probably grow both again next year, as much for a change as anything. just be sure to plant extra of the black valentine and make sure I harvest thoroughly and often. Top crop had a wider margin for harvest. If I didn’t get it today, it would still be good tomorrow.  and it just kept right on producing until frost!!
