socks, finally

Knitting knee socks was always the goal when I began knitting. Needing something longer than, and wider than, commercially available socks to keep my legs warm since I wear skirts throughout the Arizona winter.  Yes, these socks are slightly different. The lower one fit fine, but tweaked the pattern ever so slightly to make the second which fits even better and has defined the pattern. These are done in a wool/acrylic blend, using elastic thread through the ribbed portion.  Picture is before blocking – but after having tried them on.  Finished the toe with a three needle bind off,  As for size, the foot is 10-1/2″, which gives you an idea of how long they are!!
