skin creme

Tried a new technique today for making my skin lotion/creme.  Got this from the book Making It by the folks at Root Simple.  Its an easy enough change over from my old style; just whipping in warm water while the oil / beeswax mix is still hot!  being lazy, AND wanting a nice scented lotion, started off with a commercial oil.  In this case Alba Bontanica Natural Hawaiian body oil.  Have been using it as a massage oil and enjoying the feel as well as the smell.  One 8.5 oz bottle, warmed with 1/2 oz of beeswax, then whipped in another 8.5 oz of  slightly warmer than tepid filtered water.  Whipped right up, and then poured it into containers and capped.  the little bit that is left in the measuring cup (use a 4 cup pyrex measuring cup in a pot of hot water) is setting up nicely.  As a note, the final whipped lotion was nearly 3 cups.  So I guess the ingredient list would be a cup of oil, a cup of water, 1/2oz of beeswax and a cup of air!
