Made my first batch, March 21 of this year, using one pound of unsalted butter. This batch used 1-1/2 lbs. It keeps well, doesn’t need refrigeration, so why not make a big batch?!?! The small container is the browned solids from the butter. Great mixed with some rice. Did not use organic butter. Regular Challenger/Land O lakes. The L.O.L. was on sale $2.49/lb. The Challenger is usually $4.29/lb. Found (non-Organic) Ghee in the health food store, 12oz for $8.49
And what is it with these .-9 prices!! So stupid.
Anyway, doesn’t take long to make, and you don’t have to stand over it, if you’re careful.
