Around here, big canning jobs are usually done when my DH is NOT home. And as we work from our home, he is here a LOT! Anyway, finally spring road trip time and this weekend will be a big canning session with beef and chicken getting canned for the storage pantry, and last year’s tomatoes finally getting their day. These five containers are last year’s plum tomatoes, all seeded, roasted, and peeled. I do them in batches as I harvest, and throw them in the freezer.
Took 9 lbs of pork loin out of the freezer too for sausage making. I’ve only got three days and there is work in the garden to do also!
