Christmas surprise

after discovering what seemed to be an empty hive, put some honey in the feeder anyway.  next warm day went out and the honey was gone and they had eaten through the block they had put up to the feeder entrance as well as the hive entrance.  Am keeping a little honey in the feeder at all times and they are taking it.  Don’t know how many bees are in there, but will keep feeding them a little honey at a time through the winter.  fortunately, no matter how cold it gets at night, if the sun comes out, that hive warms up nicely and they can come out at least through the feeder opening for honey.

Not a big feeding, but a little
